Generally, the screw pitch don’t need to be adjusted, because it is worked out according to theoretical calculation and experiential data.
If the amount of the feeding material is not enough, it will be hard to form the powdery materials into cakes. Or even if the powdery materials can be formed, the density of the cakes will not be high enough. Under such circumstances, the rotating speed of the screw should be increase accordingly.
If the amount of the feeding material is too much, the finished products will look bad. At the same time, it will overload the machine, so the operator should adjust the rotating speed according to different situations.
